Working Together for a Greener Future in Erin

The Rotary Club of Erin was proud to join Credit Valley Conservation alongside town councillors, the 242 Ross Ferguson Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, and other community volunteers on May 9 for a tree planting project along the Elora Cataract Trailway. Together, the group planted 155 native trees and shrubs that will help capture carbon, provide valuable habitat for local wildlife, and increase biodiversity in the area for years to come.
The digging was not easy, but volunteers tackled the work with great energy and teamwork throughout the day. Rotary members were proud to be part of the effort and support a project that will leave a lasting impact on Erin’s natural environment.
The native species planted included:
Paper Birch
Red Oak
Black Cherry
White Spruce
Ninebark
Smooth Rose
Staghorn Sumac
A big thank you to Credit Valley Conservation for organizing the event and to everyone who came out to lend a hand. Together, we continue to Energize Erin while investing in a greener future for our community.
