On February 28, members of our Rotary Energizers team bundled up and stepped out into the winter cold for the 2026 Coldest Night of the Year walk. What we felt for a short time outdoors is the daily reality for many in our community — and that reminder makes this event so meaningful.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, the Rotary Energizers raised $7,205, earning recognition as the top fundraising team for the event.
We are proud of this achievement, but even more proud of the compassion it represents. In total, $46,402 was raised in support of East Wellington Community Services (EWCS), helping individuals and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. These funds will directly support programs that provide food, resources, and hope to those who need it most.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Rotary Energizers and to all who walked, donated, and volunteered. Together, we are warming hearts — even on the coldest night of the year.
